The Limestone Way, the longest signed footpath within the Peak District, adjoins Vicarage Farm, as does the Pennine Bridleway and the National Trail which is the longest bridleway in the Peak District and links Derbyshire and the South Pennines. Once you have arrived at Vicarage Farm, forget, your car keys and enjoy from your doorstep the best of limestone horse riding whether over peaks or through dales. There are circular routes for all ages and abilities.

Stabling facilities for horses and ponies (and off road parking for horse trailers) are available at Vicarage Farm.

The network of lanes around Vicarage Farm are generally free of traffic and often have wide grass verges.

Alternatively if you do not have your own horse, details can be provided of those riding establishments which provide riding and trekking trips for all abilities.
