Facilities

All of the properties are no-smoking.

Each cottage has an independent central heating and hot water system run on combi-boilers, all of which have been installed recently, to ensure an immediate and ready supply of hot water to bathe away the aches after a long ramble.  Two of the properties have full-sized fridge freezers while Millers View has a fridge with ice-box.  Prince's Seat can cater for groups and/or the larger family  and has a full-sized dishwasher.  Each property has an electric cooker and a microwave oven.  All three cottages are equipped with Freeview television, DVD players and radio/CD players.

You will find each property fully prepared when you arrive with all beds made up and towels provided (including tea towels and bath mats).

Gardens in winterGardens
The gardens provide ample opportunity to relax and enjoy nature at its best.  There is a barbeque and patio area for those who wish to eat al fresco.  At the top of the garden there is a children’s play area with swings, slide and picnic table.  The beautiful private woodland supports varied fauna and flora, and visits can be arranged.  The woodland is particularly interesting as when planted over 20 years ago it was above the accepted tree-line for Derbyshire but nevertheless has flourished.

Laundry
A laundry complete with full-size launderette style washing machine and dryer is provided for a small service charge and an ironing board and iron are available for use.

Information Room
The information room displays the relevant Ordnance Survey maps for the White Peak and surrounding area.  There is an abundance of information and literature about the many features and attractions of the Peak District.  Please ask if you want any information about the area to make your stay more enjoyable.  We particularly enjoy tasting the local cuisine as part of our research on your behalf!

Games Room
The large games room is equipped with full size table tennis table, full sized pool table and a children’s snooker table.  For younger residents, there is a Wendy House and good selection of toys and games.

Tennis Court

All of our visitors benefit from the beautiful and protected environment of the peak District National Park.  We are keen to preserve the environment for future generations and to act as good stewards of the landscape and its resources.  Recycling facilities are therefore provided on site.
